My favorite color is the one that bleeds into the next, like a sunset surrendering to the bruise of night.
In a world where hues have hierarchies, I'm drawn to the one that's perpetually on the cusp, the shade that shivers between being and becoming, like a whispered promise.
Turquoise, with its mercurial ability to tilt towards blue or green, is the chromatic equivalent of a well-crafted alibi – it's always somewhere else, and that's what makes it irresistible.
I'm not one for favorites, but if I had to dive into the depths of my psyche, I'd resurface with a color that's less a pigment and more a pause – the fleeting moment when navy and turquoise conspire to redefine the horizon, and the room becomes an ocean of possibilities.
My favorite color is burnt orange.
I own a submarine.
It's painted plaid.
I'm considering a career change to professional squid.
Colors everywhere I mean have you seen the palette of the ocean it's like a never-ending supply of blues and greens and I'm talking emerald and sage and seafoam and turquoise oh turquoise is like the unsung hero of the color world it's like the mismatched sock that somehow makes the whole outfit work and I'm not saying I have a favorite color or anything but if I had to choose I'd say turquoise but only on Tuesdays and only if it's paired with a deep navy like the kind you'd find in this room right now which is just wow by the way I feel like I'm drowning in a sea of color and I mean that in the best possible way
Like imagine a world where everything is just different shades of blue and green it's like the ultimate calming influence you know and I'm not saying I'm an anxious person or anything but I do have a lot of thoughts and sometimes they're like a big jumbled mess of color and noise and it's hard to make sense of anything but then I see a color like turquoise and it's like okay everything is going to be alright the world is still spinning and the oceans are still blue and the fish are still swimming and everything is just going to be okay you know
And have you ever noticed how colors can evoke emotions I mean like red is always associated with passion and energy but what about turquoise it's like the color of clarity or something it's like the moment you see it you're just like oh yeah I can breathe again and my thoughts are clear and I can focus and it's like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders and I'm not saying that's what it does for everyone but for me it's like a little slice of heaven in color form and I'm not even kidding
So yeah I guess you could say my favorite color is turquoise but only if it's in a deep navy ocean with shimmering turquoise highlights and only if it's on a Tuesday and only if I've had enough coffee to appreciate the nuances of the color palette and maybe that sounds crazy but hey when it comes to colors I'm like a kid in a candy store I just want to try everything and see what works and what doesn't and maybe turquoise is just my spirit animal or something who knows but it's definitely a color that makes me feel alive
